Kawasaki briefly unveils its electric motorcycle at Intermot 2022

Endeavor, the first electric prototype

This third electric prototype unveiled in Cologne is just the logical continuation of Endeavor, the first of its kind, the result of several “years of research” as declared in November 2020 Yuji Horiuchi, the president of the brand, during Eicma, the annual two-wheeler show in Milan.

Here again, behind an assembly of heterogeneous parts, one could distinguish an affiliation with the Ninja sports range and the Z family, in particular the Z400 and Z650 models, all packaged in a fairing resulting from a mix between the Ninja 400 and 1000 SX .

As for the battery – of unknown capacity – it took place in the middle of the frame, like the Zero SR / F, and was recharged by a CHAdeMO socket or a household socket. The Endeavor’s electric motor developed an output of 10 kW (13 hp) up to 20 kW (30 hp) peak. The announced autonomy was a hundred kilometers.

Other peculiarities of this Endeavor, a chain transmission found on the Cologne prototype and the presence of a real four-speed manual gearbox equipped with a quick change on the fly system – given the no handlebar clutch.
