KBC: abandoned after its quarterly

(CercleFinance.com) – KBC lost more than 4% in Brussels, after the publication by the Belgian bank-insurer of a net profit of 776 million euros for the third quarter, against 601 million a year earlier, but down from to 811 million in the previous quarter.

At 2.11 billion, total income stagnated quarter-on-quarter, as the increase in net interest income, underwriting income from insurance activities and net commission income was offset by the contraction in other income.

“Costs were also more or less maintained at the same level as the previous quarter, although the latter included a non-recurring charge of 78 million euros linked to the introduction of a new tax in Hungary”, adds CEO Johan Thijs.

“As previously announced, we will pay, in accordance with our general dividend policy, an interim dividend of one euro per share on November 16, 2022, as an interim dividend on the total dividend for the financial year 2022”, continues -he.
