Keith Jarrett: Star pianist will probably never be able to give concerts again

Jazz pianist Keith Jarrett may never return to the stage. The reason for this are two strokes that he suffered in 2018.

The star jazz pianist Keith Jarrett (75) will probably never be able to perform again. As the musician has now revealed to the "New York Times", his health after two strokes is so bad that it is "unlikely" that he will ever be able to perform on stage again.

The piano genius suffered his first stroke in February 2018. A second followed three months later. The left side of his body is still paralyzed. It would have taken him over a year to learn to walk with a stick. And he found it difficult to move even in his house.

Jarrett's last concert was on February 15, 2017 at Carnegie Hall in New York. After that, all concert dates were canceled due to health problems. A live recording of his concert in Budapest on July 3, 2016 will be released on October 30th.
