US singer Kelis mourns the loss of her husband. Photographer Mike Mora has died of cancer at the age of 37.
The American singer Kelis (42) has to cope with a heavy blow of fate. Her husband Mike Mora has lost the battle with his stomach cancer. That has their management confirmed by the US portal “Entertainment Tonight”.: “Sadly, it is true that Mike Mora has passed away. We would like to ask everyone to respect the privacy of Kelis and her family. Thank you.” The photographer was only 37 years old.
Brian Bowen Smith, among others, said goodbye to his “dear friend” and colleague on social media. He writes on Instagram to two black and white photos of Mora: “Working with you was such a pleasure. I loved all your questions and your passion for your family and photography. Reminds me of me. Sending love to his wife and family.” Mora was a “great photographer”.
They have a son together
Kelis herself has not yet commented on her husband’s death. The two had said yes in 2014. Their son was born in 2015. From 2005 to 2010, Kelis was married to rapper Nas (48), with whom she also has a son.
