Kelly Rowland (43) has explained her argument with security personnel on the red carpet in Cannes. Last Tuesday (May 21), the former Destiny’s Child singer and actress caused a great stir with the incident.
Rowland was on her way to the premiere of the film “Marcello Mio” at the film festival. As she was climbing the stairs to the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, she was apparently pushed away from the crowd somewhat roughly by a security guard, which led to a verbal altercation.

At the amfAR gala in Cannes, which took place on Thursday (23 May) as part of the film festival, Kelly Rowland now told “AP Entertainment” about the incident: “The woman knows what happened. I know what happened.” The 43-year-old continued: “I have a boundary, and I stand by those boundaries, and that’s it.”
Rowland then followed up, saying that other women who were on the red carpet “who didn’t look quite like” her “were not verbally abused or pushed away or told to leave.” She added: “I stood firm, and she felt like she had to stand firm, but I stood firm.”
