Kendji Girac fans are in shock. This Monday, April 22, around 5:30 a.m., the singer was injured by a bullet in the chest in a Travelers area in Biscarrosse in the Landes. Emergency transported to a hospital in Bordeaux, he underwent several operations and is now out of the woods. If the performer of the hit Color Gitano claimed that he injured himself with a weapon he had just bought at a flea market, an investigation into attempted intentional homicide was opened.
This Wednesday, April 24, the 27-year-old singer was able to speak to the police. According to information from our colleagues at South West, he would have given essentially the same version as the elements which could have been collected at his bedside, Monday April 22, i.e. a few hours after he was the victim of a shot in which the bullet passed through his thorax. The main person concerned confirmed that he “unfortunately injured while handling this Colt 45 pistol”.

A relative of the singer reveals his hypothesis
If the investigators are trying to find out what could have happened, a relative of the singer testified to our colleagues at The Dispatch. Moïse Rozel explained that he had a family connection with the artist. “My wife’s father and Kendji’s mother are first cousins, that’s why we consider him our second cousin in our family”, he explained to the local daily. Kendji Girac’s relative wanted to share his hypothesis. “I am certain that Kendji did not want to end his life by turning the gun on himself. He is very jovial. I have my own idea of what happened, but I can’t say anything. That’s not my role. I let the investigators do it.”, he confided. Before continuing: “I was first very afraid for Kendji before asking myself a thousand questions. There are still many gray areas in this matter.”
