Kenwood launches a scale for the Prospero, its most affordable pastry robot

The Prospero is Kenwood’s entry-level pastry robot. Far from equaling the Chef Baker or the Titanium Chef Pâtissier in terms of performance, it nevertheless has the merit of being able to replace numerous kitchen appliances and utensils thanks to the different optional accessories available. And a new one was recently launched. This does not help transform the ingredients, but allows them to be weighed directly on the robot; it is of course a scale.

The EasyWeigh scale, that’s its name, is presented as a base. Simply place the Prospero on top to use it. It allows you to weigh the ingredients by adding them to the bowl of the robot and, since the Prospero is flat on top, you can just as easily prepare the weighings in advance by placing other containers on his head. The weight is displayed on a small digital dial on the front of the bowl, and given to the nearest gram. Two buttons are also provided, to turn on the scale, tare and change the unit of measurement (g or lb).

The scale is a function that we like to find on a pastry robot, and the possibility of adding one to the Prospero therefore seems to us to be a good idea. It will also be recalled that Kenwood’s more high-end robots integrate one natively for the most recent ones. However, presenting it as an accessory allows people already equipped with it to benefit from it, even if they will obviously have to go back to checkout. The EasyWeigh scale intended for the Prospero robot is already available at the recommended retail price of €49.90.
