According to a judge’s decision, Kevin Costner has to pay significantly more maintenance to his estranged wife for the three children.

According to a preliminary judge’s decision, Kevin Costner (68) has to pay almost 130,000 US dollars (approx. 118,000 euros) a month to his wife Christine Baumgartner (49) for maintenance for their three children. That reports “Fox News” and refers to existing court documents.

Costner has to pay more than double

Accordingly, Judge Thomas Anderle ruled on Tuesday (July 11) that the “Yellowstone” star must pay his ex-partner $129,755 a month to support the children. Costner now has to dig deeper into his pockets: So far he has been paying 51,940 US dollars per month (about 47,000 euros), his lawyers called this a “reasonable” amount of maintenance in court. However, Baumgartner had demanded $ 249,000 (approx. 225,000 euros). Payments are to be made on the “first of each month,” according to the court documents.

The judge also ordered the actor to pay his estranged wife $300,000 in legal and litigation costs. In addition, both ex-partners should share the costs of health, sports and extracurricular activities for the children.

Baumgartner has to move out by July 31

Was already in the past week according to “TMZ” The court has ruled that Baumgartner must vacate the family home in California by the end of July. With this it followed conditions from the marriage contract. The handbag designer only wanted to move out later. Her lawyers argued that she would have neither the time nor the money to find another apartment until the end of the month.

As reported by “Fox News”, Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1 due to “irreconcilable differences”. The documents state April 11, 2023 as the date of separation. The couple married in 2004 and have children Cayden (16), Hayes (14) and Grace (13). Both applied for joint custody. However, there could still be many points of contention. An important point is the marriage contract: In November, the court should decide whether it is valid.
