Screen star Kevin Costner is in the middle of the War of the Roses with his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner. He allegedly taught their children the separation in an extremely tasteless way.

Between Kevin Costner, 68, and Christine Baumgartner, 49, rags are obviously flying over the lawyers and the War of the Roses is in full swing. Now the designer is bringing out the heavy artillery, dragging their children Cayden Wyatt, 16, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13, into the argument. She reports the ugly way in which the offspring found out about the separation.

Kevin Costner: Did he tell his kids THAT about the breakup?

According to Baumgartner, Kevin Costner let the three children know in a 10-minute Zoom call that he has split from their mother after 18 years of marriage. At the time he is said to have been in a hotel room to deliver the bitter news to the little ones. Sure, the actor is busy and still working on epic western Horizon, but surely there could have been a personal moment for such sad news, right? According to court documents obtained by People magazine:

“After a 24-year relationship, Kevin told our three children in his Las Vegas hotel room on a 10-minute Zoom call that we were getting a divorce, without my presence. I’m still confused as to his motivation for doing so via a very brief Zoom session, especially since he planned to be home five days later. He could easily have come home from Las Vegas to have the conversation in person.”

A bitter end to a longtime love. Kevin Costner now wants Christine and the kids to move out of the $145 million property he claims legally belongs to him, which he signed a contract to do years ago. But his ex allegedly refuses to fulfill his wish. First of all, the Hollywood star should first meet her financial demands, which amount to 248,000 US dollars (about 225,500 euros) a month.

Christine Baumgartner wants the children to keep their “accustomed lifestyle” – certainly a life full of luxury and privileges. According to court documents, she wants Kevin to pay for her children’s private school fees, extracurricular activities, sports and health care expenses. At least those costs shouldn’t hurt Kevin Costner, who is said to be worth $250 million.
