Kevin Costner’s wife Christine Baumgartner has filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage. A spokesman for the actor confirms this.
In September 2004 they said yes, three children together should make their happiness perfect. But now it’s all over: Kevin Costner, 68, and Christine Baumgartner, 49, are getting divorced.

“It is very sad that circumstances beyond his control have arisen that have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a lawsuit for the dissolution of his marriage,” a spokesman for Costner told People magazine. “We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.” First, TMZ reported on the divorce.
In November of last year, Kevin Costner spoke lovingly about his marriage and revealed: “My wife does things that are just completely … She just helps. The house is nicer because of her. Everything is warmer because of her. There are these little things, that she does, and I think it’s the power of love, but that she makes her house like this.” And even during the corona pandemic, he couldn’t stop raving about it. “Our partnership has really focused on what we do for each other and how we relate to our family,” Costner said, adding, “Our home is like a river: you just have to go into the flow. And whatever you thought That it would be, maybe it still can be, but it has to work with what the day brings.”

Christine Baumgartner and Kevin Costner have two sons together, Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 12. Costner also has four older children from previous relationships, daughters Annie and Lily, and sons Joe and Liam brought. She never made a secret of the fact that Baumgartner still wanted children with the actor. “If you want to be with me, you have to know that children are at the end of the path with you for me if that’s going to happen,” she reportedly said on the first date. The two dated for six years before Baumgartner issued an ultimatum to Costner. “Finally, the moment came when maybe it can’t go on anymore,” Costner once said in an interview with “Extra”, before deciding: “I’m not going to lose her because I’m scared.”
