Kevin Dobson: US series star dies at the age of 77

US actor Kevin Dobson is dead. The series star was 77 years old. He became known among other things with the cult series "Kojak".

Series fans mourn Kevin Dobson (1943-2020). The US actor died on Sunday (September 6th) at the age of 77. This was announced by the United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County on its Facebook page. Dobson was chairman of the association that campaigns for veterans. According to media reports, he died of a heart attack.

The actor and army veteran became known in the 1970s as Detective Bobby Crocker in the US detective series "Kojak – Operation in Manhattan" alongside Telly Savalas (1922-1994) and in his long-standing role as Patrick "Mack" MacKenzie in the "Dallas" offshoot "Under the California Sun".

He was also seen in several films. In 1976 he played side by side with Henry Fonda (1905-1982) in "The Battle for Midway", in 1981 he played Barbra Streisand's (78) husband in "Every Night Counts". Kevin Dobson leaves his wife Susan and three children together.
