Shortly before Christmas, Kevin Prince Boateng (33) and Melissa Satta (34) announce their separation. The professional soccer player and the model were a couple for nine years. The two are parents of one son.
On their Instagram accounts, Boateng, who is under contract with the Italian club AC Monza, and Satta simultaneously published a statement in Italian: "After a period of separation, we have decided to end our relationship." Both want to remain "an important point of reference for our son Maddox." They also posted a family photo.
Melissa thanks her ex
Kevin-Prince Boateng added a photo of the actress and presenter on his Instagram story. He wrote: "Thank you for the wonderful wife that you have been and the great mother that you will remain." Melissa added on her account: "Thank you for these nine years … and for the best gift … Maddox".
Kevin-Prince Boateng and Melissa Satta had been a couple since autumn 2011, their son Maddox was born in April 2014, and the wedding followed in June 2016.
