Things are not looking up for Kevin Spacey. Saturday August 6, 2022, AFP reveals that the actor of the series House of Cards is ordered to pay more than 31 million dollars to MRC, the company which produced the Netflix series.
In 2017, Kevin Spacey’s career was marred by accusations of sexual assault by several men. On October 30, 2017, comedian Anthony Rapp published an article on the Buzzfeed site, in which he said that the star of House of Cards had made advances to him when he was only 14 years old. Very quickly, Kevin Spacey had taken the floor, to deny the facts which were reproached to him. “Horrified” by the statements of the young man, the latter had defended himself by claiming not to have remembered having acted in this way and by coming out at the same time. This scandal had damaged the reputation of the American actor, to such an extent that Hollywood productions dismissed him from several artistic projects. Ridley Scott had, for example, decided to remove him from his next film, taking care to hire another actor to play his role in the film All the Money in the World. Saturday August 6, 2022, AFP reveals that the actor must pay a large sum of money to the production company, MRC, which produced House of Cards.
