Kheira Hamraoui case: the relative of PSG player Aminata Diallo released from police custody

The “relative” of Aminata Diallo, PSG player, placed in police custody Wednesday morning in the case of the attack on his teammate Kheira Hamraoui in November 2021, was released at the end of the day without charge.

Arrested in Paris, this “friend” of the international tricolor, “adult” and “known to the police”, “would have played a role in the aggression” of Kheira Hamraoui, indicated a source close to the investigation.

“We are not aware of any friend of Aminata Diallo having been placed in police custody,” reacted the player’s lawyer, Mourad Battikh, to AFP, assuring that his client stood “at the provision of justice.”

“Aminata Diallo, more than anyone, wants light and truth to be shed around this file,” said her counsel.

New altercation

On November 4, 2021, Kheira Hamraoui was attacked with iron bars by two men, in front of Aminata Diallo. The hypothesis of a rivalry between the two players, who play in the same midfield position, was initially considered.

Aminata Diallo and one of her friends, imprisoned in Lyon, had been placed in police custody by the judicial police of Versailles before coming out free, without charge.

Since then, Hamraoui’s relationship with several of his teammates has deteriorated, the latter accusing him of the custody of Aminata Diallo.

Last Saturday, a new altercation occurred during PSG training between several players and the midfielder, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Following these new tensions in the locker room, Kheira Hamraoui will not participate in PSG training this week, nor in the semi-final return of the Champions League on Saturday against Lyon. She was already absent from the group for the match in Lyon on Sunday.
