Kiddy Smile, French DJ and activist, returns with the clip for “Spreat It”. He denounces the violence against the LGBT community.
Committed to this community, Kiddy Smile is back with this activist clip. The heir to the Ballrooma counter-culture born in the 1980s in the United States, this time reveals “a bang French-inspired house touch which mixes melancholy and text news». If the rhythms are catchy, the clip gives food for thought, plunging us into the heart of homophobic violence.
We see the chained DJ, on the ground and unconscious from the start of the video. “Soyou do less clever there. You son of ch***. We goes not be left make”can we hear. He is then taken to the heart of the crowd by the police, and manhandled. The faces, hooded and aggressive, stick to the camera, plunging us into an agonizing but necessary atmosphere. The end of the clip, particularly violent, completes to make us reflect.
A tour planned for this summer
His public appearances have sometimes created controversy, like that of the music festival 2018.
