Kim Cattrall actually becomes Samantha again. She confirmed that she has a cameo in the new season of And Just Like That…
In the second season of “And Just Like That…” Samantha Jones actually appears in the flesh. Kim Cattrall, 66, has confirmed she’s reprising her iconic ‘Sex and the City’ character. After the streaming service Max announced that the 66-year-old will have a cameo appearance in the new season of the spin-off, Cattrall celebrated the news on Instagram. She shared a media report on Samantha’s comeback and captioned it, “Happy Pride…..”, also celebrating the start of LGBT Pride Month on June 1st.
According to US media reports, Cattrall’s character Samantha will be on the phone with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker, 58) in the season two finale of “And Just Like That…”. According to Variety, Cattrall was filming the cameo appearance on March 22 in New York City “without seeing or speaking to the stars of the series”. In addition to Parker, the “Sex and the City” veterans Cynthia Nixon (57) and Kristin Davis (58) are also back in the spin-off series. Allegedly, Cattrall had no contact with series creator Michael Patrick King (68). However, she was dressed for the appearance by “Sex and the City” designer Patricia Field (82), it is said.

Samantha Jones, who now lives in London, was only involved in the first season of the new series through text messages she exchanged with Carrie. Cattrall herself has made it clear time and again in the past that she doesn’t want to return to the franchise.
In Germany, the new season of “And Just Like That…” can be seen on Sky and the Wow streaming service from June 22nd. The other episodes always appear on Thursdays. In the US, the second season will be shown on the Max streaming service.
A new trailer has just been released. In it, Carrie Bradshaw apparently takes a first step towards reconciliation with ex Aidan Shaw (John Corbett, 62). First she writes him an email, then the two are on a date. Elsewhere, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and her new love Che (Sara Ramirez, 47) are seen on vacation, where Miranda finds that Che’s party life is becoming overwhelming. Samantha’s appearance, meanwhile, is not in the clip.
