Kim Kardashian signs underwear deal with NBA

Mega deal between Kim Kardashian and the NBA: Her brand Skims is now the league’s official underwear partner.
“Official Underwear Partner of the NBA”
Skims is “the official underwear partner of the NBA,” according to a press release. In addition to the North American professional league, Skims will also become a partner of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) – the women’s professional league – and the umbrella organization USA Basketball.
“I’m incredibly proud of Skims’ partnership with the NBA,” Kardashian is quoted as saying. According to her, it shows “Skims’ growing influence on culture.” Together with the NBA, they want to “connect people from all walks of life through fashion, sport and talent”. The business woman also announces the partnership on Instagramwhere she is currently followed by more than 364 million people.
Adam Silver (61), commissioner of the NBA, praises that Skims has developed into “one of our most culturally influential brands”. Together, they want to offer basketball fans and the brand’s customers “unique experiences” through the partnership. What exactly that means is currently unclear. There will be virtual perimeter advertising during TV broadcasts of NBA and WNBA games. Some of the athletes will probably also show up in Skims underwear.
The deal is likely to provide another major boost for the brand. Among other things according to a report in the New York Timeswhich was published in July, Skims is already worth four billion US dollars around four years after it was founded.
