Kim Kardashian lifts a taboo with her new heart-shaped psoriasis attack

On Instagram, Kim Kardashian has once again spoken about her fight against psoriasis after yet another attack and therefore the appearance of red patches on all of her legs. Followed by more than 300 million people on the social network, the mother is trying to raise awareness in her community about this disease.

More than just a reality TV starlet, Kim Kardashian regularly uses her social networks to discuss noble causes. The one who graduated as a lawyer has shared on several occasions the tragic stories of prison inmates whom she managed to free after having been unjustly incarcerated for decades. For five years now, the pretty brunette has also spoken out about a disease that affects around 125 million people worldwide, psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin disease characterized by a rapid accumulation of skin cells, leading to the formation of thick, scaly plaques on the surface of the skin. It is a non-contagious disease that often involves redness, A silvery-white inflammation and scales that can affect any part of the body, but usually occurs on the elbows, knees, scalp, lower back, and nails.

Kim Kardashian: suffering from psoriasis, she reveals her impressive red patches on her legs

This Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Kim Kardashian explained to her 364 million subscribers that she was subject to a new attack on her legs. “My psoriasis is crazy right now, guys. It’s like my whole leg and I don’t know what’s going on but I have to figure this out… It’s crazy” she declared, filming her legs covered in red patches which then formed a heart on her shin.
“I’m not going to lie to you, it’s painful. I’m not sure what triggers it. I haven’t changed my diet. I’ve tried everything […]. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys” added the 43-year-old mother.

Honest and eager to confide in this less glamorous aspect of her daily life as a star, Kim Kardashian had already confided about her fight against illness before. In 2022, she explained in particular that one’s diet can have an impact on the appearance of plaques. “Psoriasis took over my body and I suffered from psoriatic arthritis, so I couldn’t really move my hands. It was really painful and I had to see a rheumatologist who put me on steroids. I was panicked. I cut the meat again and it calmed down,” she said.
