King Charles III Apparently wants to make Balmoral Castle a public memorial for the late Queen.
Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) died at Balmoral Castle on September 8th. The Queen is said to have been particularly fond of her summer residence in Scotland. Under King Charles III. (73) the castle is now said to be a public memorial for his deceased mother. Balmoral is to be opened to visitors more than before. As reported by the British “Telegraph”.the king would even allow visits from the public while he was there.
The castle in Scotland is to be fitted with exhibitions and a permanent room honoring the legacy of the late monarch. The Queen spent her last summer there. This was an annual tradition of the royal family during their reign. In previous years, Balmoral Castle was only accessible from April to July.
Balmoral Castle can be visited in autumn and winter
In previous years, Balmoral Castle was only open to the public from April to July. This year, however, the summer residence of the royal family is also open from October to December, as stated on the official website: “There is no entrance fee during this period and visitors can tour the grounds and gardens, enjoy the peace and quiet of this special place and pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.” Guided tours are not possible, and the castle itself will also remain closed “as a sign of respect”.
