The palace reportedly shows no interest in a reconciliation with King Charles III. and Prince Harry. However, insiders see it differently.

Two interviews with Prince Harry (38) that have not yet been broadcast are already causing a stir. He wishes his father King Charles III. (74) and his brother Prince William (40), Harry explains in a brief preview, but unofficial sources claim that the palace should not stand in the way of a reconciliation.

King Charles III always has an open door

“I would like my father back. I would like my brother back,” explains Harry in the preview of a conversation with British broadcaster ITV 1. Apparently, the palace shows no signs of a willingness to reconcile. Several anonymous insiders close to the king are said to have told the British “The Telegraph”.that Harry was wrong to say so. Charles has therefore always signaled how much he loves both sons. The king has also said several times that the door is always open for Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan (41).

Prince Harry also gave an interview to the news magazine “60 Minutes” of the US network CBS. Here he makes it clear to Anderson Cooper (55), among others, that he does not plan to ever return to his family in an official role. He and Meghan retired as working royals in 2020. They left Great Britain together with son Archie (3). Daughter Lilibet (1) was born in 2021 in the USA, where the family lives. When asked if he could imagine returning as a “full-time member of the Royal Family” one day, Harry answered in a short preview clip of the “60 Minutes” conversation with a “no”. Both the ITV and CBS interviews are scheduled to air on January 8th.

On January 10th, Prince Harry’s autobiography “Spare” (German title: “Reserve”) will be released. According to The Times, a source said: “In general, I think the book will be worse for her than the royal family expects.” King Charles is apparently doing better than expected, but it will be tough for William.
