Binoculars glitch at coronation concert

At the coronation concert, King Charles III. Forgot one detail – his binoculars. He was sitting so far away that he could hardly see anything.
The big coronation weekend was celebrated in May – and to this day King Charles III, 74, regrets one small, albeit crucial, thing: he didn’t see anything at the big concert in his honor at Windsor Castle. That’s why he would have liked to carry binoculars with him. The monarch revealed this at a reception at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, as has only now become known. There he invited numerous helpers who were involved in his coronation at the beginning of May 2023 and also in the funeral of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), on September 19, 2022.
Neil Water, who is responsible for parking in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, told the Daily Mail that the king told him this. Accordingly, he was sitting so far away from the concert stage that he couldn’t see what was happening there. “He told me that next time he would like to sit closer to the stage – or bring his binoculars,” the official continued.
Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Take That and Co. sang for King Charles
The concert took place in the grounds of Windsor Castle the day after the actual coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 7th. Olly Murs, 39, Lionel Richie, 74, Katy Perry, 38, and Take That performed there, among others. During the concert, Charles and Queen Camilla, 76, sat together with other members of the royal family and VIP guests in the Royal Box on a step-shaped stand at the back of the huge open-air area.
However, Charles still seemed to have enjoyed the concert. As numerous recordings from TV cameras prove, the king smiled almost constantly, also rocked to the beat of the music and repeatedly waved a small Union Jack flag into the crowd, which had previously been distributed tens of thousands of times among the guests.
