The palace has announced the first traditional garden parties that Charles III. as King in London and Edinburgh.

King Charles III (74) and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla (75), will be crowned at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6th. In order to celebrate the coronation properly, there will not only be processions or a concert with stars like Take That, Lionel Richie (73) and Katy Perry (38) on the weekend in May. The traditional garden parties of the British royals are also all about the new monarch this year.

In 2023, Charles will host three garden parties for the first time as king, two of them around the coronation date, like the palace among other things according to “Daily Mail” have communicated. The royals usually receive thousands of guests whose commitment they want to honor with the events. Tea, sandwiches and cakes are served at the garden parties. They are an integral part of the royal family’s annual schedule. With a bit of luck, guests at the events can have a quick chat with one of the members of the Royals.

When will the garden parties take place in 2023?

The first garden party is set to take place on the lawn of Buckingham Palace on May 3, just three days before the coronation. The second traditional event is also planned there for May 9th. On July 4th, Charles will greet guests in the gardens of Holyroodhouse Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In addition, Charles is said to have given his permission for two other parties. Sophie (58), the Duchess of Edinburgh, will ask for a celebration at Buckingham Palace on May 16th. On May 24th, Prince Richard (78) and his wife Birgitte (76), the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, invited.
