King Charles III attended a church service after learning of his cancer – with a friendly wave to onlookers.
Around a week after it was announced that King Charles III had cancer. (75), the British monarch briefly appeared in public at Sandringham. In numerous photos from February 11th, which were taken as part of a church service, Charles can be seen in an apparently good mood, accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla (76). They were received by Reverend Paul Williams.
The king appeared in his familiar brown coat and with an umbrella, Camilla walked by his side in black boots, a black hat and a white coat. In many of the photos, both of them waved in a friendly manner towards the photographers who were certainly gathered in large numbers. In addition, according to the Daily Mail More than 100 onlookers gathered outside St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham to wish Charles a speedy recovery.
“The greatest consolation and encouragement” to King Charles III
A week ago, Charles appeared in public for the first time after leaving a London hospital in Sandringham. At that time, the palace had not yet announced that His Majesty had been diagnosed with “a form of cancer” during tests during his hospital stay – for a prostate procedure.
Shortly before his appearance today, King Charles III announced. among other things on Instagram withthat he would like to thank you very much for the “many supportive messages and good wishes” that he has received in the past few days. “As every cancer sufferer knows, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”
Camilla gave the all-clear during a visit to Salisbury on February 8th and said that her husband was doing “extremely well given the circumstances.” The two are currently mostly staying at their country estate so that Charles can recover from the treatment he has already started. On the advice of his doctors, he should not attend any public appointments, the Daily Mail recently wanted to but have learned from anonymous sources that a limited number of face-to-face meetings are planned for Charles in London next week.
