Is he taking on too much during his cancer treatment?

King Charles is back to his old form. In the past 48 hours he took part in four events. One could almost forget that the monarch is suffering from cancer and is still undergoing treatment.
After a break in which he focused entirely on his cancer treatment and recovery, he got in touch King Charles, 75, returned to public life a few weeks ago. Since then he has had a real marathon of appointments. Is the monarch, who is in poor health, overexerting himself with this high workload?

King Charles is by no means sparing himself after his return to royal service: the unveiling of his new portrait at Buckingham Palace, a morning investiture at Windsor Castle, a service for the awarding of the Order of the British Empire at St. Paul’s Cathedral, a garden party at the palace with around 4,000 invited guests – all within two days.
The fact that the 75-year-old is still receiving medical treatment for his cancer is quickly forgotten when he sees him. At his appointments he is always in a good mood and, as usual, is in the mood for jokes.

The monarch is happy to be let “out of my cage.”
He clearly missed work, as he himself made clear when he visited a Royal Engineers training base in Surrey last week. “I apologize for catching you off guard, but when this opportunity presented itself and I was let out of my cage, I wanted to come and see it,” he told the service members.
After announcing his cancer diagnosis at the beginning of February, the monarch postponed all of his public appearances. He is concentrating on his treatment and recovery and taking care of some of his tasks in the background, such as small audiences or checking government papers.
At the end of April, the palace announced that King Charles would resume his public duties. “His Majesty the King will soon return to public life following his recent cancer diagnosis following a period of treatment and recovery,” said the official statement, in which the first dates were also announced.

Charles is still receiving medical treatment
A positive time. But the monarch doesn’t seem to be completely out of the woods yet. A palace spokesman told Tatler: “His Majesty’s treatment program is continuing, but doctors are so pleased with the progress so far that the King can now resume a number of public duties. Future appointments will be adjusted if necessary “To minimize the risks to His Majesty’s continued recovery.” However, Charles was “very encouraged” to resume his duties.

This is also clear to see in the British royal. At the last two garden parties at Buckingham Palace, he beamed alongside Queen Camilla, 76, and chatted animatedly with some of the several thousand guests. He doesn’t have a long break. Emperor Naruhito of Japan, 64, and his wife Empress Masako, 60, are scheduled to visit Great Britain in June.
