With two photos and a loving line, King Charles and Queen Camilla send Mother’s Day greetings to their late mothers.

King Charles, 74, and his wife, Queen Camilla, 75, publish loving greetings on the occasion of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on March 19 in Great Britain, among other places.

Two very different photos were published on the royal family’s Instagram account. One shows the former Prince Charles at the age of about one and a half years, standing on the lap of his mother, who later became Queen Elizabeth, † 96. Both beam at the camera.

The second photo shows a smiling Rosalind Maud Cubitt, †72, in the foreground, who is rather advanced in age. Her daughter Camilla stands beaming behind her with her arms crossed.

In the comment, the two British royals not only greet their deceased mothers. “We think of all mothers around the world and everyone who misses their mothers today and wish you a special Mother’s Day,” reads it.
