Whether Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will even attend King Charles’ coronation is still in the stars. If they attend the celebrations, they will certainly do so without their son Archie. There are several reasons for this.

King Charles, 74, will be crowned on May 6, 2023. It is still unclear whether Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41, will travel to Great Britain for this historic event. Too much has happened between the couple and the royal family in the past few months. If the hatchet can be buried before then, the two would have to attend the ceremony in Westminster Abbey without their son Archie, 3.

King Charles is crowned on Archie’s birthday

The reason for this is not just that the event falls on the Sussex son’s fourth birthday. Even then, he might simply be too young to attend the coronation. When Queen Elizabeth, † 96, was crowned in 1953, her daughter, Princess Anne, 72, was too young at two to attend the ceremony. Charles, on the other hand, was present even though he was only four years old. He was probably only allowed to be there because he was the heir to the throne, “Hello Magazine” speculates.

Archie and Lilibet unlikely to appear in public

Archie and his little sister Lilibet, 1, are sixth and seventh in line to the throne. It is not to be expected that they will ever work as senior royals, after all, their parents themselves resigned from their duties in the service of the crown almost three years ago.

In addition, the two offspring were not seen publicly at Queen Elizabeth’s platinum throne jubilee. The then only four-year-old Prince Louis, son of Prince William, 40, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, on the other hand, made an unforgettable appearance at the celebrations in June last year. With his funny grimaces and his rebellious behavior, he entertained an audience of millions on site and in front of the screens. Such gimmicks, however, would be unacceptable at the sacred coronation ceremony.
