King consort Camilla broke her toe before the Queen died. She is currently taking official appointments with pain.

King consort Camilla (75) faces her husband, the new King Charles III. (73), bravely aside in his difficult time. As the “Daily Telegraph” now revealed, the 75-year-old is said to have broken her toe before the death of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) on September 8th. Exactly how this came about is unknown. An unnamed insider told The Sun: “It’s terrible timing, but she just keeps going.” Accordingly, Camilla will not “let a broken toe prevent her from fulfilling her duties”.

Charles and Camilla have a tight program on Friday as well

After a day of rest and reflection yesterday, King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel again on Friday. In Cardiff, the former Prince of Wales will visit the Welsh Parliament with his wife. A meeting with Prime Minister Mark Drakeford (67) is then on the agenda. In between, King Charles will also show himself to the people in Wales. In the evening it’s back to Buckingham Palace. Camilla therefore does not have a break in court protocol to really recover.
