King Felipe VI .: The Spanish king completely renounces his legacy

Bang in the Spanish monarchy: King Felipe VI. (52) According to Spanish media, he completely broke with his father Juan Carlos (82) and had all connections broken. As reported, among other things, by the newspaper "El Mundo", he even completely waived his legally due legacy. In addition, the king decreed that his predecessor, who renounced and abdicated the throne in favor of his son six years ago after numerous scandals, will have his salary of just under 200,000 euros annually cut.

At the moment, judicial investigations are shaking the old king's reputation, which has been scratched due to alleged infidelities and questionable elephant hunts. He is said to have or have had accounts in Switzerland that are associated with millions in bribery payments. Among other things, a mysterious payment by the Saudi king in the amount of 100 million euros is under scrutiny. At the time, a Spanish consortium was negotiating with Saudi Arabia to build a high-speed rail line and was later awarded the contract.

The British newspaper "The Telegraph" also revealed that Felipe himself may have been involved in these payments, at least he appears in documents as the second beneficiary. The royal house had distanced itself clearly from this, however, and the king had never known about it. One is interested in an honest, honest and transparent behavior, only in this way one can exercise a moral authority.
