King Frederik, 55, was proclaimed the new regent on January 14, 2024. Since then, he has already published his first book as monarch and he will soon be embarking on his first trip abroad – without Queen Mary, 51. Now the palace has announced the key dates of his foreign visit.

King Frederik’s first trip as monarch is coming up

As early as December 5, 2023, the Danish Foreign Ministry announced a trip to Warsaw, Poland, in an internal email, reports “Dana Press”. At the time it was said that the then crown prince couple would jointly lead a large Danish business delegation. The multi-day program has already been roughly outlined. The Danish newspaper “Se og Hør” recently learned that Frederik will be visiting Poland alone.

The trip is a so-called economic development campaign, in which the Regent of Denmark is accompanied by Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, 59, the Minister for Climate, Energy and Supply Lars Aagaard, 56, and the Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Jacob Jensen is represented. There the Danish king will meet, among others, Poland’s President Andrzej Duda, 51. At the end of November 2019, Frederik and Mary were in Warsaw together for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland.

Now the palace has published details about Frederik’s trip. On its official Instagram account, the farm said: “Energy efficiency, climate-smart agriculture and biogas will be the focus when His Majesty the King leads a Danish business delegation to Poland from January 31 to February 2, 2024.”
