Kirby wins, Nintendo’s comeback

Like every week, the Syndicate of Leisure Software Publishers (SELL) provides us with the sales figures for physical games in France. This week, it’s Kirby and the Forgotten World that wins.

If you follow the French charts a bit, you know that Nintendo often reigns supreme there. This week (the 12th, i.e. from March 21 to 27, 2022) will be no exception since the Kyoto firm monopolizes the podium. First place logically goes to Kirby and the Forgotten World which enjoys its novelty status. The new adventures of the little pink ball are followed by Pokémon Legends: Arceus, while the stainless Mario Kart 8 Deluxe completes the top three.

Charts France: Nintendo dominates

It should also be remembered that the first part of the “Additional Circuits Pass” DLC is available on Swicth for those who have paid for it, as well as subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack. These are thus 8 races that have been playable since March 18, 2022. One thing is certain, Nintendo retains its strike force at the level of the sales charts in physics. Could it be thanks to (or because of) the low storage capacity of its console that its customers are turning to cartridges?

The chocolate medal goes this week to Gran Turismo 7 which finished fourth in the charts. The proof that despite a bad-buzz linked to microtransactions, the title of Polyphony Digital continues to find its audience. In last position, we find Ghostwire: Tokyo in its PS5 version. The game from Tango Gameworks has inherited a nice 7/10 in our columns, friend Joniwan pointing out, among other things, the superb modeling of the Japanese capital.

Life on PC

On PC, nothing new under the sun. Elden Ring continues to take first place in the top 3 in its Launch Edition. The silver medal is for Microsoft Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Edition (the version with the maximum aircraft and handmade airports). Moreover, the game has recently benefited from an update aimed at enhancing the Iberian Peninsula, by adding points of interest and improving a number of airports. Finally, Farming Simulator 2022 completes the weekly podium, proof that agricultural machinery enthusiasts are still numerous.
