New season comes up with innovations

"Kitchen Impossible" starts its sixth season on February 14th. This time, cooking will not take place in distant countries and not just for two.
Tim Mälzer (50) invites his cooking colleagues to duels at the stove again. The sixth season "Kitchen Impossible" starts on February 14th (Sundays at 8:15 pm on VOX or via TVNow). The corona pandemic is shaping the new consequences in a special way. As a "sign of solidarity with the local gastronomy scene and to protect the health of everyone involved in the shoot" VOX announced that the duels and challenges will only take place in Austria and Germany.
The challengers
Lucki Maurer ("STOI", Rattenberg), Daniel Gottschlich (two stars, "Ox & Klee", Cologne), Alexander Wulf (one star, "Burgstubenresidenz" in Heinsberg), Sepp Schellhorn (three toques) will compete in the cooking duel , "Hecht im Seehof" in Goldegg, Austria), Sven Elverfeld (three stars, "Aqua" in Wolfsburg) and Tim Raue (two stars, "tim raue" in Berlin) together with Alexander Herrmann (two stars, "Restaurant Alexander Herrmann "in Wirsberg).
The duels
The chefs send each other to two places to perfectly cook the specialty of a local chef under the most difficult of conditions. A list of ingredients or the recipe are not available to top chefs. You can only uncover the secret of the dishes by tasting and smelling. For Tim Mälzer it goes to Cologne, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Rottach-Egern and Salzburg. He sends his first opponent Lucki Maurer to "Der Kleine Heinrich" in Glückstadt and "Sonamu" in Frankfurt am Main.
The final
The grand finale will take place on March 21st with a special "Best Friends Edition". For the first time, three chefs are competing against each other: Tim Raue (46), Alexander Herrmann (49) and Tim Mälzer want to decide among themselves who is the best. One cook each sends the two colleagues to a kitchen in which they cook a dish at the same time. A jury decides on the success. The duel Mälzer versus Raue takes place in the "Fränkisches Landgasthof Weichlein" in Wachenroth, Raue and Herrmann duel in "Shiraz" in Darmstadt and Mälzer and Herrmann in "893 Ryotei" in Berlin.
