The pandemic thriller "Songbird" by director Michael Bay (55) seems to have found its main actor in "Riverdale" star KJ Apa (23). As reported, among other things, the US portal "Deadline", the shooting of the star-studded film began last week in Los Angeles.
The female counterpart is Apa Sofia Carson (27), who can currently be seen in the Netflix flick "Feel the Beat". In the pandemic thriller, the two embody, according to the report, a pair of lovers who cannot see each other due to the strict lockdown conditions. The events of "Songbird" take place two years in the future. A mutated virus still keeps people at bay. In order to be with his great love (Carson), a worker immune to the virus (Apa) defies all adversities.

The list of the "Songbird" cast is quite impressive. Bay Apa and Carson were not only able to win over for his latest project, Hollywood star Demi Moore (57, "The Jane Files") is also part of the party.
