KKR said in a statement on Wednesday that the Asia Credit Opportunities Fund, which has seen its final close, is one of the largest inaugural pan-regional credit funds raised for Asia Pacific.
Ming Lu, KKR’s head of Asia-Pacific, said Asia is benefiting from favorable macroeconomic trends and long-term growth, but the financing options available to companies willing to keep pace with that growth fast were limited.
“We believe this momentum provides an attractive landscape for alternative asset managers like KKR, who are able to provide more flexible and differentiated credit solutions than traditional lenders,” Lu said in the release.
