A man from Klagenfurt fought a wild chase with the police on the southern autobahn on Tuesday afternoon. The drugged driver even built an accident and fled on foot until he was arrested.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a police patrol on the southern autobahn noticed a man from Klagenfurt who drew attention to himself through unsafe driving behavior. When the officers tried to stop the car, the 23-year-old pressed the gas and sped away. “Furthermore, the man from Klagenfurt touched the traffic control walls on the Autobahn near the Velden-West exit, causing the vehicle to be so badly damaged that it was no longer roadworthy,” the police said. After the crash, the 23-year-old fled on foot across the highway. Fled under drugs The 18-year-old passenger was arrested by the police after the accident. Only after a search could the 23-year-old be caught by the officials.
