Introductory price €399
Among the many references of hi-fi speakers or dedicated to a home-cinema installation, the Americans at Klipsch offer more modest speaker kits, such as the ProMedia Heritage 2.1, to equip an office or a small room. Accompanied by their subwoofer, the ProMedia Heritage 2.1 have a design similar to the brand’s speakers, released in the 1950s, with their mesh fabric protection and vinyl-finish MDF wood plates. Each loudspeaker is slightly angled so as to diffuse in the direction of the listener when placed on a desk. Each satellite measures 20.3 x 14 x 10.9 cm and weighs 680 g while the subwoofer measures 30.5 x 25.4 x 38.1 cm and weighs 6.35 kg.
In terms of acoustic architecture, each loudspeaker consists of a 7.6 cm driver, assigned to the reproduction of midrange and a 2.54 cm soft dome tweeter, mounted on a Tactrix horn, iconic technology of the American brand. The subwoofer is equipped with a 20.3 cm speaker combined with a bass reflex vent on the back, and 100 W amplification.
As far as connection possibilities are concerned, the ProMedia Heritage 2.1 plays the sobriety card with a single RCA input, a USB-A port and wireless connectivity via Bluetooth. A mini-jack to RCA cable is included to allow the speakers to be connected to a PC. In addition, the speaker kit can be controlled with the remote control supplied alongside it. The ProMedia Heritage 2.1 are already available in black or walnut finish at a price of 399 €.
