KLM CANCELS 170 FLIGHTS IN AMSTERDAM AHEAD OF STORM EUNICE
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – KLM, the Dutch branch of the Air France-KLM group, canceled nearly 170 scheduled flights arriving or departing from Amsterdam-Schiphol airport on Friday in anticipation of storm Eunice, which is expected to cross the Netherlands in the afternoon with winds that can reach 130 km/h.
The storm, which came from Ireland, must pass through the south of the British Isles and go up towards the north-west coasts of France – where five departments (Manche, Seine-Maritime, Somme, Pas-de-Calais, Nord) were placed in orange vigilance – before continuing his doubt towards Benelux and Denmark.
