Kloten is promoted to the National League

The Zürcher Unterländer decide the playoff final series against EHC Olten with 4:1 victories. This makes it possible to return to the highest Swiss league.

(sda) After four years in the Swiss League, EHC Kloten will play again in the highest Swiss ice hockey league next season. The Zürcher Unterländer decide the playoff final series against EHC Olten with 4:1 victories and thus make the promotion perfect.

Coach Jeff Tomlinson’s team took the last step towards returning to the National League with a 1-0 home win in the sold-out arena in Kloten with 7,600 spectators. Niki Altorfer scored the winning goal just before halftime. The airport city is thus approaching a free night.

After the rise of the Kloteners, the National League will consist of 14 teams in the coming season.
