That’s how it’s done

Sizes S/M/L
The information for the small size is in front of the brackets and for the larger sizes in the brackets, each separated by slashes. If there is only one specification, it applies to all sizes.

material
Yarn from Austermann, »Alpaca Fluffy«, 250 (250/300) g red no. 03 and 150 (200/200) g beige no. 05. Knitting needles no. 7 or 8, (gauge), 1 crochet hook no. 7.

gauge
10 stitches (M) and 15 rows (R) stockinette stitch = 10 × 10 cm. (Stocking stitch means: only knit sts to the right, knit only left sts to the back.)

color division
Knit according to the chart between 2 edge stitches. Only the right rows are drawn, in the back rows knit the sts as they appear.

size S
Back and front piece: Knit the repetition in width once, start the repetition in width at arrow A on the sleeve and knit to arrow B, then repeat this part of the repetition over and over again.

size M
Back and front piece: In the width, start the repeat at arrow C, then knit the repeat once and end with arrow D. On sleeve, start at arrow E and work to arrow F, then repeat this part of the repeat over and over.

Size L
Back and front piece: In the width, start the repeat at arrow F, then knit the repeat once and end with arrow E. On sleeve, start at arrow G and work to arrow H, then repeat this part of the repeat over and over.

For all sizes
Always repeat the 52 R in height. Knit the continuous red or beige rows with one ball and use a separate ball in the rows with color changes for each color area.

back part
Cast on 54 (58/62) sts in red and knit in stockinette stitch according to the counted pattern, mark the beginning of the armholes 35 (34/33) cm from the cast on on both sides. 21 (22/23) cm from the marking of the armholes on both sides for the shoulder sloping in every 2nd row. Size S: 2 × 5 and 1 × 6 sts, size M: 3 × 6 sts and size L: 2 × 7 and 1 × 6 Bind off sts, then cast off the remaining 22 sts.

front part
Knit like back piece, cast off the middle 8 sts for the neckline 13 (14/15) cm from the armhole marking, finish both sides separately, dec 7 × 1 st on each row along the edge of the neckline.

sleeve
Cast on 46 (48/50) sts in red and knit in stockinette stitch according to the chart. Bind off all sts 50 cm from the cast on.

drafting
Close shoulder seams. Loosely crochet 1 round of solid sts on the neckline with a thin needle in beige. Close side and sleeve seams. Sew in the sleeves, holding back a little.
