Knockin 'on Heaven's Door: Guns N' Roses commemorate with their biggest hit Kobe Bryant

Guns N 'Roses ("Appetite For Destruction") remembered the late Kobe Bryant (1978-2020) and his daughter Gianna (2006-2020) at the "Super Bowl Music Fest". Axl Rose (57), Slash (54) and Co. dedicated their version of the Dylan classic "Knockin 'On Heaven's Door" in Miami to the basketball legend and his daughter. Photos of the two were shown on a canvas. Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter were killed in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles, along with seven other people.

"I want to dedicate this song to Kobe, his daughter and everyone who died … their families and everyone who was affected by this terrible event," said singer Axl Rose before the song. In his announcement, Rose also spoke about the very thick fog in Los Angeles, which he himself had noticed and which was probably fatal to the pilot and the passengers due to the poor flight visibility.

Guns N 'Roses will come to Germany in 2020

After the concert in Miami, the band posted a photo together with their support act Snoop Dogg on Instagram. Guns N 'Roses are currently on a big "Appetite For Destruction" world tour with their classic line-up. The Gunners also come to Germany for two concerts – to the Olympic Stadium in Munich (May 26) and to the Volkspark Stadium in Hamburg (June 2).
