Knorr is initiating a massive recall of some of its stock cubes


Due to a packaging defect, the German brand has issued a recall of certain bouillon cubes sold between June and November by “precautionary principle”.

Warning for lovers of bouillon cubes: Knorr recalled this Monday, February 14, 3 batches of bouillon marketed between June 10 and November 16, 2021. In the recall sheet, the brand says indeed to take a measure of “precaution“about a defect in the packaging of broths that could lead to the migration of certain contaminants”beyond acceptable safety thresholds“. The procedure was also taken in agreement with the authorities.

3 batches concerned and distributed throughout France

The German brand recalls vegetable broths without salt 72 grams sold by 8 as well as broths with herbs and with olive oil 150 grams sold by 15. Three batches * of broths are affected by this recall and therefore withdrawn from the stores. These have already been marketed and sold in many brands throughout France: Carrefour, Cora, Aldi, Auchan, ITM, Casino, Francap, Monoprix, Leclerc and Système U.

For the time being, if you are in possession of one of the products affected by the recall, you are advised not to consume any more and to destroy it. A contact number (0969320060) to reach the consumer service is made available in order to obtain a refund of the recalled product. The recall procedure will end on April 14, 2022.
