On the occasion of the broadcast of the film Monsieur je-sais-tout Sunday October 23, 2022, from 9:05 p.m. on TFX, Télé Star reveals to you whether the young actor starring in this feature film is really autistic or not.
Released in cinemas in 2018, the film entitled Mr. I know everything, worn by Arnaud Ducret, Alice David and Max Baissette de Malglaivewill air Sunday, October 23, 2022, starting at 9:05 p.m. on TFX. Directed by Stéphan Archinard and François Prévôt-Leygoniethis feature film features the character of Vincent Barteau, portrayed on screen by Arnaud Ducret. This divorced 40-year-old is a former professional footballer, now coach of a club recruiting young football talents. For his part, his nephew Leo, interpreted by Max Baissette of Malglaiveis a very nervous and introverted autistic Asperger, who spouts repetitive words in a monotonous voice and does calculations on everything, applying statistical laws to all his choices. And he’s remarkably good at playing chess.
Breathtaking in the role of this young autistic Asperger, the actor Max Baissette de Malglaive was hired on this film thanks to casting director Martin Rougier. “He had done quite a lot of film distributions with children. He selected about thirty of them. Max immediately burst the screen. However, he had a bad flu when he came to take the tests, but he exploded. As a matter of conscience, we organized a second round with two other candidates, but he won this second try hands down. I think he’s a genius performer. You can ask him what you want, he does it. He’s a chameleon. I believe that, despite his match size, he would manage to be credible as a contract killer! His gaze is impressivesaid François Prévôt-Leygonie.
Know-it-all: a feature film largely inspired by the cult film Rain Man
For his part, Max Baissette de Malglaive mentioned the way he worked his game to succeed in slipping into the skin of an autistic Asperger. “I had already seen the film Rain Man and reports that I could find on autism, of which Asperger syndrome is one of the forms. Children with this syndrome have quite specific body language. They are often very intelligent, sensational in mathematics, ultra-gifted in music, but most of the time, they live locked in their bubble. Some are more indifferent to the world than others. There are varying degrees. François Prévôt-Leygonie and Stephan Archinard introduced me to a young woman with this syndrome. Our meeting lasted three hours. It was quite impressive because, as she couldn’t stand the noise or the light, she wore dark glasses and had put on mittens over her ears. She told us that the slightest change in her schedules and habits disturbed her. His testimony helped me a lot to build the character of Leo“, he explained.
