Paul Geoffrey is dead
Paul Geoffrey has died at the age of 68. Among other things, he played in 1981’s “Excalibur” alongside several Hollywood greats.
Actor Paul Geoffrey is dead, Santa Fe New Mexican first reported on June 9. The Briton died of cancer on June 3 at the age of 68.
Describing the actor, who had his greatest successes in the 1980s, the newspaper said: “He loved French wine and food, had an amazing grasp of history, was a lifelong Arsenal fan and was notable for being the cutest guy in the world.”
“Excalibur” with Hollywood greats
Geoffrey was known for films like 1981’s Excalibur, in which he starred alongside Hollywood greats like Helen Mirren, 77, and Liam Neeson, 71. The film won Best Artistic Contribution at Cannes in 1981 and received an Oscar nomination for Best Cinematography.
In addition, Geoffrey played, among other things, in the 1984 published “Greystoke – The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes” and most recently in the “Breaking Bad” spin-off “Better Call Saul”.
Geoffrey is survived by his wife Sue Taylor and three children.
