Basketball superstar Kobe Bryant (1978-2020) would have been 44 years old today, August 23. His widow, Vanessa Bryant (40), congratulates her husband with a touching photo. In the picture, that she shared on Instagram, the athlete hugs his wife. Both beam happily into the camera. “Happy birthday baby,” writes Vanessa Bryant. “I love and miss you so much!”
Within around two hours, more than 500,000 users gave the post a like. And celebrities like supermodel Naomi Campbell (52), actress Lily Collins (33) and reality star Khloe Kardashian (38) joined the congratulations.
Last year, Vanessa Bryant published an old kissing photo of the two for her husband’s birthday. “Happy Birthday Daddy”, she wrote on Instagram. “I love you forever. Eternal love.”

Kobe Bryant is one of the most iconic basketball players of the past few decades. He died in a helicopter crash in January 2020 along with his daughter Gianna (2006-2020).
Vanessa Bryant recently testified in a trial about photos from the accident site. In court, she explained that she “lives in fear every day” “that the pictures will suddenly appear on social media”. It’s about photos that firefighters and police officers are said to have taken. “No one should have to see their family this way,” she said, among other things, according to a report by the celebrity portal “TMZ”. Bryant is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages from Los Angeles County.
