The last season of Koh-Lanta: the island of heroes fascinated the viewers. The show, which gathered no less than 6 million viewers, and was broadcast in full containment, was rich in surprises. The departure of Claude, for example, aroused the anger of Internet users. As of the start of the new school year, a new season will be offered to viewers. And this new edition, qualified as "spectacular" by Denis Brogniart, will reserve several twists and turns.
If the program was filmed in the Fiji Islands in November 2019 and this for the fourth consecutive time, a great novelty was unveiled by Télé-Loisirs. From now on, the teams will be distinguished by their region of origin. Thus, the candidates coming from the South will face those from the North, the Great West and the Great East of France. For the first time in the history of the show, there will therefore not be two, but four teams. The faithful of the adventure game will be able to support the team which will wear the colors of their region.
A new destination for the filming of Koh-Lanta
Regarding the filming location, it could change during the 20th anniversary of the game. Alexia Laroche-Joubert, the producer of the show, made some confidences on the subject in the columns of our colleagues: "The shooting of this edition is planned for the second half of 2020 and it will not take place in the Fiji Islands", she revealed. For the moment, the country that will host this new edition of Koh Lanta, remains secret. Clues may be revealed in the press in the coming weeks.
