- The leading roles are taken on by Michael Kessler, Bettina Lamprecht, Bettina Zimmermann and other German acting stars.
The relatively young streaming provider Paramount+ has some new highlights to offer you this month. Also included this time is the brand new German mystery series “Kohlrabenschwarz”, which deals with a special criminal case. You can watch comedian Michael Kessler (“Genial Nexus”) as a chaotic psychologist tasked with catching a potentially psychopathic killer for a police station.
Stefan Schwab (Kessler) actually wanted to finally find some rest after his divorce and a severe burnout, so he withdrew to the tranquil foothills of the Alps. But this calm does not last long, because children keep disappearing in the area and so-called “sinners” are punished with death.
A brutal murderer is walking around, who sticks to ancient legends and fairy tales in his deeds. He reenacts these in his murders and thus brings the old legends into the present. Schwab is said to work with Commissioner Anna Leitner (“Betty’s Diagnosis” star Bettina Lamprecht) and forestall the killer’s next plan.
But Stefan doesn’t just have his hands full with the case. He still has to deal with his ex-wife Susanne (“Ein Fall für Zwei” star Bettina Zimmermann), who has a new lover but doesn’t completely disappear from Stefan’s life. This leads to turbulence, which also disrupts the investigation.
If you like the series, you can also find other novelties at Paramount+ that could keep you entertained. We tested the streaming service for you and tell you what advantages and disadvantages it has.
