A The Boys game by Kojima? Maybe more than just a dream

Hideo Kojima (Death Stranding, Metal Gear series) recently revealed he’s had to scrap ideas for a new game. In this concept for a kind of counter-draft to the classic superhero story, a special team of investigators should work behind the scenes against legendary heroes. For a leading role he had the actor Mads Mikkelsen in the head, with whom he already worked on Death Stranding.

When watching the Amazon series The Boys But then he noticed that the similarity to his idea was too great. The Boys is not only a superhero satire, but at the same time satirizes the use of social media, American culture and corporate capitalism. The Boys is currently in its 3rd season Amazon Prime (View The Boys on Amazon), due to many very explicit scenes, almost all episodes are only available to those aged 18 and over.

“The Boys” showrunner would be on board

The showrunner of the series, Eric Kripke turns out to be a big fan of Hideo Kojima. Kripke would even like a video game based on Kojima’s The Boys and seems visibly excited about a possible collaboration. (Source: Eric Kripke via Twitter). Kripke receives support from Antony Starr, the actor of Homelander. (Source: Antony Starr via Twitter). The narcissistic and narcissistic superhero is one of the main characters of The Boys.

For many fans, Kojima and The Boys sounds like the crossover they didn’t know they desperately wanted. It remains to be seen whether the social media banter of all those involved will actually result in a collaboration.
