There is hardly any concrete information about OD (Overdose), Hideo Kojima’s latest game. Kojima Productions has already registered new patents, but there are no exact details about the game yet.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Hideo Kojima addressed his fans and reported on his experiences in game development. Among other things, he also gives a new note about OD.
Comparison to Boktai
According to Kojima, the most experimental game in his career was Boktai. This is a title for the Game Boy Advance (“GBA”) in which you fight vampires in front of your house using a solar sensor.
This game apparently met with strong resistance from employees and within the company. He also draws a comparison to OD, which is supposed to be just as “different” in this sense.

So you can obviously expect a rather unconventional game again. This fact could also explain patents such as the “Social Scream” system.
