Konami reveals the in-game rendering of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Without a release date but still announced on PS5, Xbox Series and PC, this remake is strictly graphic, Konami having already vowed not to alter anything in the content, progress and dialogue of the game released in 2004 on PlayStation 2. Generally very popular with fans of the franchise, MGS3 takes place in 1964, which makes it the starting point of the saga from a chronological point of view and therefore a fairly interesting episode to go through as part of a remake, even without knowing the other parts.

My beautiful snake, king of the forests

At the heart of the Cold War against the backdrop of the nuclear arms race, the player plays Naked Snake, an elite soldier from the Fox Unit, whose mission is to free the Soviet engineer Sokolov. However, he will be confronted with the terrible Colonel Volgin and especially with The Boss, his former mentor, who changed sides not without having reconstituted the Cobra Unit, which brings together soldiers with supernatural powers. Taking place in a natural and hostile environment, MGS3 introduced mechanics such as camouflage, hunting for food, weight management of equipment but also a system dedicated to wound care. Note that the “pre-alpha” mention in the video suggests that the release of the game is still quite far away.
