Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony hits Switch and Steam

Localized in English, French, Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony will even have the honor of a boxed release on Switch, announced for the moment in Japan only, with a standard edition at 4,000 yen (30 euros) and a limited edition at 7,000 yen (50 euros). The second named is presented in a box specially illustrated by Banpai Akira, a regular in the Touhou Project circle of which this game is a part, an acrylic plate by the same illustrator, 34 pages of illustrations and a 27-track soundtrack on 2 CDs.

Compared to the 2009 game, this new edition includes smooth HD graphics, additional dialogues as well as full Japanese dubbing to portray a dozen characters, starting with the protagonist Reimu Hakure, superbly revisited here in Gothic fashion . On her way to the Scarlet Devil Mansion to find the cause of the “Scarlet Mist”, the protagonist will cross paths with other characters and sometimes fight them in battles that uphold tradition bullet hell. In exchange for a few souls, Reimu can even call on Marisa and Cirno, two support characters.
