Blue confetti in the air
The reality star and the Blink 182 drummer released on June 23 an Instagram post from the so-called Gender Reveal Party. These are very popular in the US. The gender of the baby is revealed to friends and family – and often to the parents-to-be themselves – through colored accessories. Blue stands for a boy, pink for a girl.
No luck with artificial insemination
In the video, Kourtney Kardashian sits on her husband’s lap, who is seated behind a drum kit. “Tell me when you’re ready,” he tells her. He then asks someone, “Is our Pyro guy ready?” The mother-to-be emphasizes: “I don’t know what’s going to happen.” They both kiss, he plays a drum roll and finally blue streamers and confetti explode in the air.
The gender reveal came just days after the pregnancy was announced. On June 17, the 44-year-old held up a sign that read “Travis I’m Pregnant” at his concert in Los Angeles. She later posted pictures of her baby bump, revealing she’s been pregnant for a while.
As reported by Page Six, the two recently spoke about their desperate attempts to conceive through artificial insemination in an episode of the reality show “The Kardashians” on May 25. After these attempts were obviously unsuccessful, they decided not to pursue these measures any further and continue to hope for a natural conception. Kardashian’s confident statement read: “We would love a baby more than anything, but I just believe in what God has in store for us. If that’s a baby, then I believe it will happen.”
Big blended family
The baby expands the already large blended family. Kourtney Kardashian has three children from a previous relationship with reality celebrity Scott Disick (40): sons Mason Dash (13) and Reign Aston (8) and daughter Penelope Scotland (10). Travis Barker had a son, Landon, 19, and a daughter, Alabama, 17, with his second wife, Shanna Moakler, 48. At the time, Moakler also brought stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya (24) into the marriage.
